Here's the situation. Today is a cold and rainy day here in San Diego. Thus I was sitting around, enoying my full time bum status when the phone rang. Having a presicent mind I knew that I was about to be hit up for a donation. (Okay, okay, so I didn't recognize the Caller's ID phone number which meant that the odds were pretty overwhelming that I got this one right. )

Male caller. "Are you Vikky Wilburn Anders?" After that it was just a matter of just how small a donation I was about to make. And then the caller said. "I know this is a long shot, but are you related to the Wilburn Brothers?" I replied, "If you count fifth cousins, once removed, then the answer would be yes." Well, it just so happens that the volunteer caller was a big fan of the County /western singing Wilburn brothers. Both now deceased.

Chit chat. Chit chat. I then advised my caller to Google 'Dr G and the Mud Cats'. Two hours later, I received another phone call from same caller. No! I wasn't being hit up for another donation. Instead, the call back was on his own dime. This time he wanted to thank me for referring him to Dr G and the Mud Cats. Oh yeah, he loves this swampy tonk music. Plays the quitar. Now my caller would love to be a Mud Cat.

How cool is that?
